Mikä on Jaostostartti?
Jaostostartti on tilaisuus kaikille jäsenille, jotka ovat kiinnostuneita kuulemaan lisää ammattiosaston jaostotoiminnasta! Tilaisuudessa esitellään osaston jaostot, niiden toimenkuvat sekä tulevan kauden painopisteet.
Jaostot ovat keskeinen osa osaston toimintaa. Ne tukevat johtokuntaa, valmistelevat tehtäviä ja toteuttavat osaston toimintasuunnitelmaa sekä talousarviota johtokunnan päätösten mukaisesti. Jaostojen kautta jäsenet pääsevät vaikuttamaan, kehittämään toimintaa ja osallistumaan konkreettisesti osaston arkeen.
Jaostot ja niiden toimenkuvat
Koulutus- ja virkistysjaosto
Valmistelee koulutus- ja virkistystoimintaa sekä vastaa tapahtumien käytännön toteutuksesta yhdessä osaston työntekijän kanssa.
Tiedotus- ja viestintäjaosto
Kehittää osaston viestintää ja laatii tiedotus- ja viestintäsuunnitelman osaston vuosikelloon.
Nuorisojaosto
Järjestää alle 31-vuotiaille jäsenille suunnattua toimintaa ja tuo nuorten näkökulmaa osaston toimintaan.
Eläkeläisjaosto
Suunnittelee eläkeläisjäsenille suunnattua toimintaa johtokunnan hyväksyttäväksi.
Solidaarisuusjaosto
Tekee yhteistyötä muiden ammattiosastojen ja yhdistysten kanssa sekä osallistuu solidaarisuustapahtumiin ja -projekteihin.
Järjestöjaosto
Suunnittelee ja organisoi jäsenhankintaa, järjestöllistä toimintaa sekä luottamushenkilöiden koulutusta ja aktivointia.
Päätöksenteko ja mukaan lähteminen
Jaostostartissa kerätään kiinnostuneita jaostotyöhön sekä käydään keskustelua jaostojen tulevasta toiminnasta. Päätöksen uusien jaostojen kokoonpanosta tekee johtokunta helmikuun kokouksessaan. Mukaan hakijoille tiedotetaan valinnoista helmikuun aikana.
Jaostot kokoontuvat 1-2 kuukauden välein. Tapaamiset ovat sopimuksesta riippuen livenä tai etäyhteydellä.
Mukana voi olla kuka tahansa jäsen – aiempaa kokemusta ei tarvita.

What is the Committee Kick-off?
The Committee Kick-off is an event for all members who are interested in learning more about the union branch’s committee activities. During the event, the branch’s committees, their roles and responsibilities, and the key focus areas for the upcoming term will be presented.
Committees are a central part of the branch’s activities. They support the executive board, prepare initiatives, and implement the branch’s action plan and budget in line with decisions made by the board. Through committee work, members have the opportunity to influence, develop activities, and take part in the branch’s day-to-day operations in a concrete way.
Committees and their roles
Training and Recreation Committee
Prepares training and recreational activities and is responsible for the practical implementation of events together with the union employee.
Communications Committee
Develops the union’s communications and prepares a communications plan as part of the union’s annual schedule.
Youth Committee
Organises activities for young members (under 31 years of age) and brings the perspectives of young members into the union’s activities.
Retirees’ Committee
Plans activities specifically for retired members, to be approved by the executive board.
Solidarity Committee
Cooperates with other local unions and organisations and participates in solidarity events and projects.
Organisational Committee
Plans and organises member recruitment, organisational activities, and the training and activation of shop stewards and other representatives.
Decision-making and participation
At the Committee Kick-off, expressions of interest in committee work are collected and discussions are held about the committees’ future activities. The executive board will decide on the composition of the new committees at its February meeting. Applicants will be informed of the selections during February.
Committees meet approximately every 1–2 months. Meetings are held either in person or remotely, depending on what is agreed.
Any member may take part — no prior experience is required.
